38 - Defying the Pope

Apr 15, 2026

Martin Luther, in response to the bull of excommunication from Pope Leo X, said, "But Luther, who is used to bellum, is not afraid of bullam. I can distinguish between inane paper and the omnipotent Word of God". American Politicians speak likewise.

This week James Bowman, the vice president for those more familiar with nick names, said the Pope needs to be more careful about what he says. The irony is sickening. James said nothing when his running mate said "A whole civilization will die tonight".

But to be fair, he missed the point of what the pope said. The pope said "God does not bless conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the prince of peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs..." He took that to mean absolute pacifism. And then he referenced wwii as if it's somehow black and white itself. Casually ignoring in that war that we used the only nuclear weapons on people ever. And the iranians can't have what we refuse to give up. What we continue to threaten with. "Oh but they might use one!" "You might use one." "You did use one, on the most catholic city in Japan." Do you remember Dresden, James? Very just, I know.

The Pope's statement has to be taken within context. The first obvious context is the American empire starting war on the other side of the world. There has been no just reason from the beginning. Everybody knows that. The only people who want to fight Iran couldn't tell me the difference between Iran and Syria on the map, or they live in Israel. But if you want security for Israel, maybe you should have told them not to murder people for being Palestinian. "All who take the sword shall perish by it." I've talked about this before. But this phrase from the Gospel is the context and inspiration of the Pope's statement. Sola Scriptura anyone? Yesterday, man's wrath took the sword. Today man's wrath drops bombs. Murder is murder and hell is hell. And the pope is judged by a recent convert from atheism.

I would like to see formal public excommunications for this kind of scandal. Not specifically to James, because I think he could maybe be reasoned with. But public defiance of the pope, participating/starting in unjust wars, the cruelty to the resident alien, the sacrifice of children to moloch. Excommunication is warranted. But they are used to ' bellam, they aren't afraid of bullam. But if excommunication will not save them maybe it will save others from going down the same path.

What else is there to say? I came to give you encouragement. Just because most churches in this country are full of wannabe pentacaustals and childless boomers and people too scared to give the finger to the pro-abortion faggots on the sidewalk. Our faith never had anything to do with them. "I am with you always even unto the end of the age". You do not need me to tell you more

"For you have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin: And you have forgotten the consolation, which speaketh to you, as unto childre, saying: My son neglect not the discipline of the Lord; neither be thou wearied whilst thou art rebuked by him. For whom the Lord loveth he chastiseth; and he scourges every son whom he recieveth"
