It's been some time since I've last posted. Partly because I don't want to insult whoever reads this by telling them the obvious. Partly because it takes time for a geopolitical outsider to assess reality. The reason all news sources suck is because they are obligated to post something every day, and when you do that it degrades into gossip, hearsay, slander and lies. It doesn't help they're bought and sold.
I saw someone claiming archaeological evidence for Jesus doesn't exist. "There's nothing conclusive... because peasants don't normally leave an archaeological trail". Awfully bold thing to say. I mean, we found the crosses at golgotha, the shroud of turin/veil of oviedo, contemporary accounts, even Josephus (because nonreligious jews are the source of all truth)(To be fair Josephus says Jesus was Christ, but probably not Josephus just everyone who thought his work was worth recording again)... the list goes on and on for proof. They were hoping to find a body, I guess. He's buried right next to His mother. But I suppose you will say all those things are fake. Some of them are, like the supposed crowns of thorns circulating the world in reliquaries. But it's undeniable Jesus walked on earth. Nobody in the century after said he was fictitious, they denied his divinity, the talmud has him burning in hell, and thousands and thousands of Christians attested to Him. If Jesus was the foundation myth of Christianity, the myth was in too recent memory with easily historically proven facts for that to work. Kinda funny how so many people who met him believed, eh? It would be easier to believe the Vikings never existed and were just a story to frighten youngsters. Show me the chain of custody of that evidence. Piles of sod in the ground yeah right... But we have a chain of custody... I won't bore you anymore.
Bishop Barron eulogized Charlie Kirk, which I am rather disappointed about. I don't know how to put this delicately enough. I don't want to come across like NCR which basically said "sorry, not sorry; he deserved it" But for the Catholic clergy to use the word "apostle" to refer to a formal heretic who married a Catholic woman outside of the Church (although the rumor now is his marriage was recently convalidated). To say he's a passionate Christian. I want to reclaim that word. Protestantism isn't Christianity. It's Christianity stops where it diverges from the true faith. It's true it's shameful how many have danced on his grave. Especially for the reasons they give "he was pro-gun, anti-immigrant, racist, anti-feminist, homophobic, anti-abortion... etc" They would call me all those things too. And to the extent he's said things objectively wrong concerning gaza or whatever, it's not possible to talk all the time and never say anything you'd regret.
Usually then people say political violence is just so bad what a state of affairs... And Bishop Barron was probably trying to give assurance to the Catholic right that conservative values which Kirk held are in line with Church teaching. But I don't think political violence is inherently bad. Nor assassinations. Think about it, all war is political violence. You would have to advocate absolute pacifism to argue that. That's not a popular thing to say because it makes the government feel threatened, but God has deposed many governments. And Judith killing Holofernes was assassination sanctioned by God. This assassination was not sanctioned by God. And now we get out of the realm of relativism and enter the realm of truth. "All who take the sword shall perish by the sword". "Sell your cloak and buy a sword". Charlie Kirk was heinously murdered by a homosexual. And if the rumors are true, that he was going to become Catholic, it is a very sad day indeed.
But I wish the clergy would stop confusing people. There is no salvation outside the Church. You don't get to heaven by being a passionate protestant or by being an "apostle" of civil discourse. The Church demanded the Cristeros put down their arms, and they did. And for their obedience, they were hanged. I am scandalized. Look what Mexico has become. And the devout catholics in america watch as bishops welcome homosexuals and jews and transcendental meditation and feminists, and communists and... and we are cast to side, chided for preferring the latin mass where fewer women are dressed as prostitutes and the people have children. Where we can remember the glory our Church ought to have and not the stark puritanism of the bare new churches and cackle of pentachaustal music. The pastors discourage the youth from marriage because confession is cheaper than annullment. Except they don't have confession. And the priests are gay. No wonder the orthodox mock us.
I've been thinking about why the orthodox, who "run" russia, are okay with the Chinese who outlaw orthodoxy. Why would they support China's claim to Taiwan? Because Taiwan has Christians. In fact, most of the Catholics in China fled to Taiwan which is 1-2% Catholic. But the Orthodox don't care about Catholics. And Taiwan has no orthodox. It wouldn't bother them if the Chinese exterminated us. But it bothers us when nato tries to exterminate them.
J.D. Vance said "You don't have to agree with our policies, but if your political rhetoric encourages violence against our law enforcement, you can go STRAIGHT TO HELL!" But somehow he can rationalize violence against boats in the caribbean, guys in yemen, iran, venezuela, syria. And his law enforcement protects "a womans right to choose". Venezuela just wants to be a sovereign country. Maduro didn't kill no babies. Because of Vance's action, abortion will be legalized in Venezuela. Vance will go straight to Hell, but we hope he repents.
I believe Maduro's capture cannot be taken at face value. Recently Maduro had been negotiating about stepping down and the lack of casualties on either side is too convenient. Low flying helicopters, inside informants. If America was doing a hit, there would have been more dead venezuelans. America will keep its oil monopoly for now. The world sees us as the pirates we are. The empire's death throes have begun. The republican party will never win again... no new wars, yeah. I'm waiting for Ted Cruz and Rand Paul to say the obvious.
But I'll say it.
God looked down from heaven on the children of men: to see if there were any that did understand, or did seek God. All have gone aside, they are become unprofitable together, there is none that doth good, no not one.
Spain is now following France to enshrine abortion rights in the constitution. Franco wouldn't have done that.
In hebrew numerology, w is 6.
If the French are democratic, why is Macrons approval rating 11%
When the politicians talk about the high price of food, it proves they are out of touch with the common man, because food isn't the issue, it's housing, cars, healthcare, taxes and regulations preventing the poor from ever getting on their feet.
The postal service will ship baby alligators but not alcohol or ammo.
The ash produced by coal power plants releases more radiation than a nuclear fission reactor producing the same amount of power - unless it melts down.
If you lived in 1970 and made minimum wage, that money bought in gold would be worth $280000 now.
1 in 30 men in the usa are either in the military or police forces (roughly the same as francoist Spain), but don't worry, we're not a police state. That would be Vatican City, where 1 in 3 men are police.
The pope prayed for the weapons in Ukraine to fall silent because even he believes in the hearing protection act.
