29 - Trump 2.0

Feb 12 2025

The Trump administration is about all anyone can talk about these days when it comes to the news. Well, maybe that guy in nebraska that ate his wife's cat. Can't figure how eating an animal is a crime, but I guess the sissies in the world have cops that work for them.

Anyway, I thought maybe I should reconsider my stance on him because he has surprised me in his fervor. It seems he has different people whispering in his ears than last time.

He's keeping his word on immigration, attempting to deport 1 million illegals before his 4 years are up and we go back to letting them back in. The argument goes like this: you immigrated to america without legal authorization, ergo you committed a crime, ergo you're a criminal, ergo we send you to whoever will take you (including guantanamo). (you forgot to file your paperwork wazowski) It's a dangerous precedent that a lot of americans are cheering on. The government can make you a criminal with the stroke of a pen, when you violated no moral law. After all that is the purpose of government: to enforce the moral law. Think of the hipocracy, see "three felonies a day". The same people saying concerning short barrelled rifles "if the government's gonna call you a criminal be the best you can be", or from across the pond "show me the man and I'll show you the crime". If the immigrants have done evil, deport them for the evil, but if not, why do you strike? I have no doubt that many in our country would have deported St. Joseph if they were to have ruled egypt and taken custody of the Christ child on account of Mary's poverty. Do not forget that the majority of the so-called illegals were welcomed into the USA by previous administrations. From the Catechism of the Catholic Church para. 1867 "The catechetical tradition also recalls that there are "sins that cry to heaven": the blood of Abel, the sin of the Sodomites, the cry of the people oppressed in Egypt, the cry of the foreigner, the widow and the orphan, injustice to the wage earner.

Citing Ex 22:20-23 You shall not oppress or afflict a resident alien, for you were once aliens residing in the land of Egypt. You shall not wrong any widow or orphan, If ever you wrong them and they cry out to me, I will surely listen to their cry. My wrath will flare up, and I will kill you with the sword; then your own wives will be widows, and your children orphans.

God will make good on his threat. "If you wrong them and they cry out to me, I will surely listen to their cry and I will kill you". There is no victory in wholesale deporting the immigrants especially in a country founded on illegal immigration. Think about history for a moment. America is a shoot of the British empire. She took the land from the savage indians, the catholic french, the protestant british, the catholic spanish, the revolutionary french, the savage indians, the catholic mexicans, the confederate americans and at the time it was quote on quote illegal by the established government. But in the end might made right. And the way this administration is going, might makes right, and money is power so the more money we have the more virtuous we are as a people. And did you catch the sin of the Sodomites, yeah, our governments cool with that too.

We can't blame immigrants for the economy. In fact they are the biggest reason America has a net positive growth rate. We will die out and be replaced for our own wickedness and in the meantime we will blame the rest of the world. The claim that immigrants cause drug problems is a lame excuse. Colorado causes drug problems. The Cia causes drug problems. Doctors cause drug problems. The lack of family values causes drug problems. The push of atheism by academia causes drug problems.

I'm not saying the status quo is perfect. It's true that violent crime disproportionately involves people of color. But when you're trying to make 1200$ rent for your one bedroom apartment on 15$ an hour, you're not going to be able to afford the nice part of town. The current housing situation in america is designed to keep the poor poor. But the economists said invest in land because they ain't making any more of it. And God said, "woe to you who join house to house and field to field even unto the end of the place, will you alone live on the earth".

Some say they don't pay their share of taxes. Maybe they would if they weren't deported for it. And if you live anywhere rural, you don't pay enough taxes for the road outside your house. If the problem is welfare abuse, get rid of welfare, but Trump won't do that. If the problem is you can't compete with the immigrants, then maybe daddy government will take care of them for you and take from everyone according to their ability and give according to their need.

Or instead of communism, let him who would not work, not eat, including the rich white guys profiting on global slavery.

If you don't think it's a little ironic that we send our illegal immigrants to Guantanamo bay, a base we are illegally occupying in Cuba, then I don't know what to tell you. If we buy the gaza strip and kick all the arabs out so the Jews can have the land they want, then yeah. Did you know arabs were semitic too? I saw a quote recently, "an antisemite used to be someone who hates jews, now it's someone the jews hate.

I also saw the supreme leader of Iran was being urged to lift the ban on nuclear weapons that he made some time ago because "nuclear weapons are not inline with islamic principles" And I know he said that just because he had a strong incentive from the west to say that and at the time no real means to acquire them. And I know they've demonstrated by innumerable muslim actions they can't really care all that much about civilian casualties and their word ain't worth all that much either. But it is interesting because the western Christian nations pretend to care about civilian casualties and pretend to be honest in their dialogue yet possess enough nuclear weapons to throw the world into nuclear winter, you know mutually assured destruction is such an ironclad defense against suicidal maniacs. Killing the maniac that starts it isn't enough, we gotta destroy the whole world.

As for buying greenland and the panama canal, it's part of the same agenda these tariff wars are: to regain american leverage worldwide so that we have greater economic prosperity. The same reason we fought all the wars in the middle east, to secure oil assets for the american economy so no country would dare back out of our one-sided agreements. And we'll use the threat of tariffs to get what we want, and the threat of greenland to pressure the russians, who went from saying at first "if Trump had not been cheated out of his rightful victory in 2020, the war in ukraine may have been prevented" to now not acknowledging phone calls and stating "US-Russian relations are on the brink of collapse." Trump won't be able to strongarm the russians anymore. I think they were prepared for a kamala victory and the subsequent sanctions and continued Ukrainian aid. What more can Trump leverage that they weren't prepared for?

It makes sense why Trump feels a connection to president McKinley. McKinley kept America on the gold standard trying to preserve her economic prosperity. He also was shot by an anarchist. And he went to war against weak Catholic Spain on unjust grounds to show off American power globally. The world doesn't need America to grasp for global dominance by threatening to exclude countries "from buying and selling" or funding revolutions here and there. The world needs America to show some respect.

When Donald Trump bought Mar a Lago, he initially offered 15 million which was rejected. Then he bought the land between Mar a lago and the ocean and threatened to obstruct the view causing competing investors to back out, and finally buying it for half of what he initially offered. These soulless business tactics are running the country.

As fun as it's been watching gov employees freak out when they're told they don't provide the value they cost, making the government work more efficiently, I'm not sure in the end it will be to our benefit. Trump won't touch social security (at least the non-fraudulent aspects) even though it's a failing system. He won't touch obamacare. The VA will still pay for In Vitro Fertilization. We aren't moving away from state control of anything, taxes aren't decreasing, inflation isn't negative, rather we are making the state more powerful by freeing up resources, and by the direction we are heading, I think I'd rather the state collapse from the inside from bloat which was our alternative. It is essentially fascism, not as radical as Hitler but equivolent to Mussolini.

But Mussolini did make it to heaven in the end according to Blessed Carboni. So there is hope.

And I must say my thanks to the president for his pardons of abortion clinic protestors, may it merit him repentance. But as long as he personally thinks "6 weeks is too short", or even 6 hours or seconds, he is complicit in murder of millions of innocents depriving them the beatific vision. And we must be realistic about that fact.
