27 - World Update

Dec 29 2024

I read perhaps the dummest article I have ever read in my life recently written by Forbes: "Oreshnik Threat: 'Rods From God' Are Not As Dangerous As Putin Thinks".

tldr: Russia test launched a ballistic missile in the ukraine last month with dummy warheads and the writer thought the dummy warheads were the actual weapon and kept going on and on about how the kinetic effects of the missile aren't really that scary. Equivalent to 1 ton of TNT, no big deal and they can't aim for shit too.

The reality is this was the last test (probably probing nato air defense) before large scale mass production of the missile. The oreshnik went easily through the air defense which might not be unusual except that Russia gave the west a 30 minutes heads up before the launch and after the launch even challenged nato to an experiment: their missile against our air defense, an agreed upon time and target in kyiv, but we'll never accept because we know we'll lose.

The missile isn't exactly anything special, it's basically what we have on our nuclear submarines, but we have some very dangerous stuff on our nuclear submarines. To see our pravda downplay it like the threat isn't real to convince the proud to keep supporting the war effort, don't worry it's only white Christians in slavic countries dying, is frankly, (I would say terrifying but I'm too jaded so) contemptible. The oreshnik can carry about 900 kilotons altogether on 6 simultaneous nuclear warheads.

There is a reason people were so afraid of the cold war going hot. One generation witnessed the atrocities of WWII and realized the destructive power of peoples has only increased and the nuke became a symbol of modern scientific progress being used to destroy. Who wins in a nuclear confrontation? Not even the rich man in his bunker who will arise from his lair to find a world of ashes. "The survivors will envy the dead" we are told in Akita. A Russian spokesperson said not long ago that "Russia sees no point in a world [existing] without Russia" And I believe they mean it and have the capability to ensure it.

Now the younger generation has been more practical. The red scare didn't get us yet. What's one nuke? A circular mile isn't really that much destruction. And no not by itself, but 12,000 circular miles of city is a lot of people.

But Russia has been pretty reasonable so far. We hope Russia will continue to be so. We mustn't be the cause of "reasonable men doing unreasonable things".

When it comes to international politics, Americans are the first to talk when they have no room to talk. "Ah, but Russia is helping those darn commie north koreans" says the largest importer of commie chinese products. We all know America would never try to reclaim its former land after an adversary weaponized it. Oh wait I saw something in the news about Panama's canal recently. Also, to blow up minds even further, if'n the ukraine gets to be it's own country because they want to, can we have the confederacy back, darn yankees. The more you compare the more you realize the differences aren't so big.

It's the nature of things

The fallen nature of our human condition. The government will only be as perfect as the people who run it. And we can point fingers all day long as to who's the problem - it's the lazy working class, it's the greedy ceo's, it's young people, boomers, migrants, negroes, fat women, white women, woke militant trans faggots (this ones true), potheads, and on and on and on. But the problem is sin, not people. If you accept sin, tolerate sin, then accept the chastisement God has sent to you. And shut up

It cracks me up when people every 4 years say if you didn't go vote you got no right complaining. Voting wouldn't do shit to address the problems I complain about. I complain that people are literally murdering infants for convenience so that they can continue fornicating without end and living some hedonistic lifestyle. "Well, Trump did overturn Roe v Wade" Yeah after 50 years of voting and the current post Roe abortion rate in this country is higher than it was under Roe because Trumps Supreme Court ruling (our victory) is a paper victory. Both sides are in on it. One side worships mammon, the other side worships moloch.

There is no unified Christian front, and I think it's because the Catholic clergy has not established one. I would llke them to do so. But I think they would rather keep their tax exempt status.

Lastly, Elon (and Vivek) say America pursues mediocrity. I am happy to be considered mediocre in the things of the world, so long as I excel in the things of God. For it is harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle. Especially a rich man who won't raise his kids.

America does not need more wealth in material possessions. America needs to, in the example of St. Lawrence care for the poor and tell the emperor that they, the poor, are the true treasures of the church. To see a revival in families and stop worrying about getting to mars first or finding enough aliens to make the best ai because honestly those things don't matter.
